With a revenue of $1.4 billion, SGH operates globally, maintaining manufacturing facilities in the US, Europe, Asia, and South America. The company's SAP S/4HANA 1909 environment supports its worldwide operations, including the Brazil business unit.

Ideation

To facilitate the divestiture strategy, SGH decided to carve out the Brazil business unit in 2023. This required isolating all relevant business processes, developments, and historical data into a separate S/4HANA system, to ensure the elimination of non-Brazil data.

Our approach

We utilized SAP’s SLO/LT toolset, executing a structured four-phase clone and delete strategy. This included thorough planning, impact analysis, and multiple deletion cycles to minimize operational disruption, achieving a seamless transition of the Brazil unit by December 2023.

Outcomes

Successfully delivered a dedicated S/4HANA system for Smart Brazil, meeting TSA timelines and budget constraints. The project ensured complete data compliance, with zero disruption to SGH's operations and high customer satisfaction due to transparent processes.
